The Walk For Animals is Animal Humane Society's largest fundraiser and the nation's largest human/animal walk! The event is happening on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at our Golden Valley location.
Without our volunteers, we would never be able to achieve what we do year in and year out. Please consider volunteering at this year’s Walk for Animals. Read what a few past volunteers said they loved most about the experience:

We welcome groups to volunteer, and require each group member to register individually and put the name of their fellow group members, group lead or group name in the notes section on the application. Groups must have all members registered by Friday, April 3 in order to be considered for placement in a role as a group. Group spots fill up very quickly and will likely be full before April 3, so get your entire group registered as soon as possible.

Description
The Animal Humane Society is a private, nonprofit organization dedicated to the welfare of all animals. The Society seeks to maintain and develop programs and facilities which promote and expand the human/animal bond. Incorporated in 1891 as the Minneapolis Humane Society, the organization was known as the Animal Rescue League for many years. In 1965 the name was changed to the Animal Humane Society of Hennepin County. In 1999, the name was officially changed to Animal Humane Society, in part to clarify the fact that the organization is not part of the county government and is not supported by tax dollars.
