Our Father's Table is a street outreach service to Our Homeless Brothers and Sisters. We are truly the definition of grassroots activism, going into the trenches to find and assist those in need. We have no paid staff, consultants or expensive office space. We depend completely on caring members of the community to achieve our goal of giving a "Hand Up not a Hand Out" to the homeless population.
OFT provides Our Homeless Brothers and Sisters with the tools and opportunities to help themselves by walking along side each of them through the process of getting their lives back on track. We become their friend. We gain their trust and we do not judge them. We remind they they are valid, they matter, and that we care about each and everyone of them. We encourage and help build them back up by continual positive affirmations and the Love of God. We work on mending the part of them that is broken. We believe once their core is healed, their self worth, self esteem and dignity is mended, then everything else falls into place. OFT does not believe in band aids but on applying a permanent cure for each homeless individual that wants help. OFT attacks the root of an individuals problems, the reasons poor life decisions have been made, and empowers them to be a whole person. We pray for them and with them, and encourage them to lean on their faith and to know they are valid, they matter, and they are loved by God.
Our Christ based outreach programs and services are designed to bridge the gap between the homeless and local homeless assistance agencies with the goal of permanent supportive housing and a second chance at happiness.
CARE BAGS OF LOVE: This is the perfect opportunity for the individual who doesn’t have a lot of time or any time. The Care Bags of Love are provided to you and you keep them at arms reach in your car. When you pull up to a corner during your normal day to day driving and you see one of Our Homeless with a sign asking for help, you simply roll down your window and hand them the Care Bag of Love. THAT IS IT!!! It is that simple!!! And you have just given them a Hand Up!!!! Our volunteers always love watching them go through the bag and look back with a huge smile on their face, there is nothing more rewarding!!
STREET OUTREACH: This is a very rewarding and involved ministry. We go out into the streets several times a week. We have a street outreach team formed for early morning and are looking for day teams and early evening teams also. The time requirement is flexible but minimum of 2 hours a week is needed. If you an individual with a large amount of empathy, a good listener, and a need to help others please contact us.

Mission Statement
A Christian response to homelessness. OFT’s mission is to walk alongside our brothers & sisters experiencing chronic homelessness & connect them to services and agencies with the goal of ending their cycle of homelessness & ensuring their journey back to RESTORATION.
Description
OFT is the light at the end of the tunnel!
Our Father’s Table has a solution that breaks the cycle of chronic homelessness, one person at a time. Our work is important because it addresses homelessness at its cause knowing chronic homelessness is a symptom of a deeper-rooted problem. OFT changes lives, by giving a hand up, not a hand out! Our work is cost effective and it does not create another program. Our unique approach puts us in the center of their life as mentor, advocate & most importantly genuine friend giving unconditional love & guidance.
A caring mentor and advocate navigating the system.
Our Father’s Table is the conduit between the homeless services & agencies and our neighbors experiencing chronic homelessness. Our Care Navigators understand the homeless system of services, the nuances for their points of entry, criteria for eligibility into their programs, the paperwork, applications & their best practices.
OFT’s Care Navigators are mentors & advocates who work with the chronically homeless to move them off the streets & back to being a productive citizen of our communities, ending the cycle of homelessness.
To date we have lifted off the streets over 375 chronically homeless and 95% have successfully broken their cycle of homelessness.
