The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) Center of Essex and Hudson Counties is collaborating with Bloomfield Department of Health and Human Services and Neighbor to Neighbor Network to make 400 disaster kits for local homebound seniors in case of emergencies. Volunteers are needed to assist with registration, unpacking supplies and putting the disaster kits together. Sign up early as slots are limited. Parking available in the municipal lot behind the Civic Center (entrance on State St) and street parking available on Broad Street.
Volunteers will receive free t-shirts on the day of the event while supplies last.
All volunteers must be age 55+.
