Mission Statement
The Next Chapter, Corporation, is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, charitable organization dedicated to empowering individuals to advance to the next chapter of their lives. The Next Chapter consists of two divisions: Veterans Support and Victim Support.
The Next Chapter Veterans Support is dedicated to empowering veterans, veteran spouses, and transitioning service members to move forward to the next chapter of their lives as a civilian. The Veterans Support Division provides career support services to include, career coaching, interview tips, resume reviews, networking opportunities and seminars. The organization’s goal is to provide veterans and veteran spouses with the tools needed to have successful careers.
The Next Chapter Victim Supportis dedicated to empowering survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault to move forward to the next chapter of their lives. The Victim Support Division provides safe and confidential services to include crisis intervention, preventive education, community outreach, individual/group counseling, career coaching, and emergency housing referrals. The organization’s goal is to provide survivors with the tools needed to begin the next chapter.
Description
The Next Chapter, Corporation seeks motivated volunteers to help others move forward to the Next Chapter in their lives. Volunteer opportunities are wide ranging and include people with expertise to include but not limited to: Administrative Support, Outreach Support, Volunteer Support, Victim Advocacy, Veteran Advocacy, Veteran and Sexual Assault/Domestic Violence Subject Matter Experts (For creating training and seminars), Web Design, Creative Experts, Health and Fitness, Event Support, Fundraising Support, Event Planning, and Social Media Campaign Support. Opportunities range from onsite, offsite, and telework.
