Fairfield Woods Branch Library has a Sewing Studio, that was purchased by our Friends of the Fairfield Library. We offer six sewing machines, and beginner adult lessons twice a month. We have had many requests from parents to offer some sewing classes for kids. We'd like to try and do a mini sewing camp this summer for 4 days. The ages of the children will be 10-14 and this will be a beginer sewing experience. Our staffing is limited so we need a few volunteers who could actually run the program for us. You will need to be a fairly accomplished sewer, and be able to teach kids the fundamentals. We would offer staff support and all supplies.
