Put your cloud management expertise to work for animal welfare and help America For Animals. Not an expert in cloud services management? That's ok. We'll help you get going. In order for us to do the most good for animals, we need our cloud based apps to be reliable. That's where you come in.

Our infrastructure currently involves: Mobile (iOS/Android) and Web front ends, Parse.com (BaaS), Heroku, Wordpress, and cloud hosting on Linux/PHP/MySQL. We also connect to various SaaS solutions such as SalesForce, Flurry, Mandrill, Paypal, and more.

As our Cloud Operations manager, yours is a critical job to understand all these various systems and pieces and to develop and implement the best strategy to keep everything humming along.

Duties include setting up 24/7 monitoring, backup/redundancy strategies, technical documentation, spend monitoring and development/staging environment management.

Qualified folks should be excited about animal welfare, be willing to learn, and have an eye for detail. This is an important role: Your contribution will make a big difference to the success of AFA and its potential to reduce animal suffering.

Please note that this is a volunteer position. AFA is an all-volunteer organization that brings together passionate, talented folks from across the country.
