ORGANIZATION: Critter Adoption & Rescue Effort Inc

This position manages all grant management functions and supervises all grant activities, including processing of incoming applications, working closely with accounting to ensure payments are processed and tracked accurately, launching new grant programs, and planning assessment meetings.

Responsibilities:

  • Managing the work flow and effectiveness of the grant administration process including grant program launches, evaluation of grant applications, contracting and administration of projects once contracted
  • Developing, creating, and seeking out new and better ways to meet and exceed high performance of grant administration functions
  • Setting the tone for a professional, responsive and problem-solving oriented grant administration
  • Striving to make the grant administration processes as efficient and effective as possible
  • Providing an efficient and up-to-date process for tracking grant payments
  • Reporting statistics on the grant administration process to internal constituents
  • Managing the web-based grant submission process (coordinating program launches, processing grant applications, ensuring applications meet application standards, ensuring all data has been appropriately inputted and linked in the database)

Qualifications & Experience Needed:

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong project management skills and ability to meet deadlines
  • Ability to manage multiple complex tasks and maintain composure under demanding
  • Ability to prioritize work at hand
  • Proven problem-solving skills- Solutions Focus
  • Flexibility in approach and willingness to adapt when necessary
  • Proactive and action-oriented personality; strong sense of pace and urgency
  • Ability and experience working productively and proactively both independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent computer skills, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

C.A.R.E. is a 501 (c)3 public charity; a no-kill animal shelter for neglected, abused and unwanted cats and dogs with a mission to reduce the number of homeless and abandoned animals through adoption, sterilization and education.

Description

Most of the animals that come to CARE need just a few weeks of special care before they are ready for adoption to a good home. Others, who are older or sick or have suffered extreme trauma, become CARE ambassadors and find a special home at CARE for the rest of their lives.
