ORGANIZATION: Critter Adoption & Rescue Effort Inc

Purpose: Assist the Volunteer Coordinator with the details involved in processing newly assigned volunteers.

Responsibilities:

  • Based on the volunteer’s application Input required information into C.A.R.E.’s database
  • Prepare new volunteer’s badge
  • Add new volunteer’s email into the shelter’s email contact listing
  • Review the contents of volunteer 's folder to ensure that the signed waivers are in folder
  • File all new volunteer folders in the appropriate place in the file cabinet (regular volunteers or student volunteers (minors)

Qualifications:

  • Ability to use a computer and basic understanding of C.A.R.E. software
  • Good time management skills
  • Familiarity with C.A.R.E. procedures involving the processing of volunteers
  • Adhere to all rules and standards set by the Volunteer Coordinator
  • Knowledge of email procedures

Description

Most of the animals that come to CARE need just a few weeks of special care before they are ready for adoption to a good home. Others, who are older or sick or have suffered extreme trauma, become CARE ambassadors and find a special home at CARE for the rest of their lives.
