Dayspring Volunteers

Each night in our summer season we will house up to 10 women and their children at a centralized shelter which will be located in a small two bedroom apartment. This will help prevent women and children from going unsheltered in the "off season" when there is no emergency shelter at the churches.

Volunteers will be asked to work in pairs throughout the night to ensure the safety of all of our guests. 1st shift is from 6PM to 12PM and second shift from 12PM to 7AM.

Opportunities would ibclude:

- Checking guests in and out for the evening

- Conducting a safety check on each guest and space.

- Cooking Dinner or Breakfast with guests as needed

- Monitoring and recording overnight observations of space, individuals, concerns, etc.

- Working with guests to ensure cleanliness of space each night
