SIGN UP TO VOLUNTEER NOW Join us on Saturday, April 18 to celebrate National Volunteer Month! The Raleigh Parks, Recreation and Cultural Resources Department has over 9800 acres of parkland throughout the City. With thousands of users each day, our Raleigh Parks system provides a fun outdoor experience for all to enjoy. We are seeking individuals of all ages to assist with picking up litter and cleaning up City of Raleigh parks, open spaces, greenway trails, dog parks, playgrounds, outdoor athletic fields and courts, and natural areas. Whether it's 30 minutes or a couple of hours, any volunteer help is appreciated! Here are some parks that you may consider to help clean (you are not limited to these locations):Fred Fletcher ParkMoore SquareMarsh Creek Skate ParkWalnut Creek Greenway TrailCedar Hills Disc Golf CourseMillbrook Exchange Dog ParkLake Johnson ParkWalnut Creek Wetland CenterVolunteers will need to pre-register online. We do ask that all volunteers complete a short volunteer report to help us track number of volunteers and the hours donated to our department. This will be emailed to all registered volunteers prior to April 18. Per department policies, this volunteer opportunity is not to be used towards court-appointed community service hours.
