Share the gift of reading with an adult in Placer County Jail! Volunteer to be a reading coach inside the jail and see how rewarding the experience can be! You can make a positive difference in someone's life today! Placer Adult Literacy Service has been a program of Placer County Library since 1985. We partner with the county jail to provide tutors that go into the jail to work one-on-one with an inmate in a secure setting. Training is provided.
