The Grant manager are vital members of an organization’s fund raising team. They oversee the development of grant proposals to foundations, corporations and government agencies. Working with other staff members, grant managers identify funding opportunities and search for grants to support a wide array of projects--from unrestricted operating expenses to equipment, scholarships and highly specific projects.

The Grant Resourc Manager is responsible for:

  • Balancing multiple grant projects, proposals and deadlines.
  • Highly aware of the internal workings of their organization so they can identify funding opportunities.
  • Selecting which funding entity best matches the goals of each project.
  • When applying for a grant, they collaborate with staff to write proposals and letters of inquiry, communicate with granting agencies, track the status of requests and submit evaluation reports to contributors.

Education and qualifications

Must have a bachalors degree in English/Jornalism/Marketing.

5+ years of Grant writing

Steps of Success started out as an all volunteer service to help college students with their college expenses. Now we are known as Community Support of Atlanta helping low and middle class individuals keep their rent and utilities paid during financial hardship. Now with our new mission, we have help 30 middle and low income individuals keep their lights on and stopped evictions.
