Anthropology Volunteer - Feather Distribution Project

The Museum seeks adult volunteers to help with The Feather Distribution Project, which provides macaw, parrot, and wild turkey feathers to Native American peoples free-of-charge. Volunteers are needed to sort feathers for 1-3 hours at a time, preferably on Wednesdays, during normal business hours. Volunteers must be able to pay close attention to detail, have good color vision, and no feather allergies. Training is provided. This position is located at the Museum’s Research & Collections Center in Springfield. This is a good opportunity for someone interested in traditional Native American cultures.
