The Volunteer Prospect Researcher/Fundraising will be responsible for conducting online and print research in an effort to identify and qualify prospects (businesses, corporations, foundations, health systems, etc.) with the capacity to support financially or partner with the American Cancer Society.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Research local business prospects and gathers information regarding their philanthropic interests, giving capacity, historical engagement with ACS, etc.
- Produce analyses and reports on fundraising history and current performance, prospect status and other business intelligence used to inform the strategic management of fundraising operations market wise.
- Prepare biographical profiles and research reports for use by ACS.
- Search for new prospects by scanning information on the internet, via social media, newspapers and a variety of journals for successful businesses, organizations and individuals who may have interests which align with ACS missions, activities and fundraising priorities.
- Update and maintain non-gift information on constituents and prospects in the ACS database(s) including entering contact and meeting notes for major accounts and prospects.
- Other duties as assigned
