IDEAS partners with a school located approximately 250 miles southeast of Beijing in Shanxi Province. Serving the children of one of IDEAS’ partner organizations, as well as other international children in the Taiyuan city area, this school provides quality education in a creative learning environment.
As a teacher, you will provide classroom education for approximately 25 students, Kindergarten through high school, while receiving support from other teachers and staff. Teachers provide classroom education for grades 1 through 8 and provide support and resources to high school students who are studying through on-line classes. Classes are taught in English using an American curriculum.
This partner school strives to:
- Prepare students socially, intellectually, physically and spiritually
- Equip students to interact comfortably with Chinese people
- Aid students in making a smooth transition to their home country and higher education
This school is just one important facet of the community. Working with our local partner, IDEAS helps to provide professional programs in medicine, agriculture, education, and consulting, working with other groups and local governments.
