ORGANIZATION: OASIS CATCH Healthy Habits

  • 3 people are interested

CATCH Healthy Habits is looking for individuals who are over the age of 50 and interested in spreading the word about CATCH.

CATCH Healthy Habits is an intergenerational program that recruits and trains older adults in nutrition and fitness and then pairs them with children in grades K-5 to be mentors and teach classes. Our program partners with after-school programs and summer camps to provide 8-12 classes for kids to learn about fitness and nutrition through their healthy living mentors. Our classes are comprised of fun activities, stories, and healthy snacks.

We are in need of new program sites and new volunteers!

Which means that we need social butterflies and chatty Cathy's to tell everyone about how wonderful our program is!

You can hold a presentation at a senior center, you can help at a health fair, you can hand out flyers when the weather gets nicer, and just continue to spread the word about how amazing CATCH Healthy Habits really is!

Full training is provided, all you need to be able to do is love talking to people and enjoy spending time with your peers!

Contact Kylee at 718-581-8659 if you are interested in participating or would like more information!
