23rd Annual Information Fair & Festival

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The San Gabriel Pomona Parents' Place Family Resource and Empowerment Center

Our Information Fair is dedicated to children with special needs, their families, and the professionals who work with them. This special occasion allows families that have children with special needs to come together, in an open and friendly environment, to enjoy a lively festival and to find out about the many community resources available to them.

Last year, over 2,600 people attended the Fair. The Fair would not have been such a tremendous success without the generous financial support from the community as well as the many volunteers who donated their time and energy. We are therefore coming to our community once again to ask for your support. There are many different ways you can help. If you can volunteer for one or more projects, this will greatly help to keep the fair running smoothly.

All volunteers need to fill out an application for us and you may contact Carina Lopez in order to obtain one through email. We ask that the volunteers wear comfortable clothing and shoes because you will be in constant movement. Volunteers will receive a free Parents' Place Volunteer T-Shirt, a free lunch, and a certificate for participation at the end of the volunteer shift.

The following are Tasks that the volunteers will be performing:

  • Unload Truck
  • Place Thank You signs around the Park
  • Table/Canopy set-up
  • Set-up snack machines
  • Distribute items to designated areas
  • Set-up entertainment area
