Director of Development Position

Reporting to and in partnership with the Vice-President, the Development Director (Director) will spearhead development efforts as Steps of Success continues to grow. A new position in the organization, the Director of Development will have the opportunity to build the development function. The development director will work in conjunction with the director of marketing/PR and fundraising committee.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute Steps of Success annual fundraising plan.
• Secure financial support from individuals, foundations and corporations.
• Manage and create the implementation of Donation database and oversee staff responsible for data entry and gift processing.
• Develop and maintain ongoing relationships with major donors.
• Creating and executing a strategy for a large sustained base of annual individual donors.
• Overseeing organization of special events along with working with the fundraising committee.
• Developing and tracking proposals and reports for all foundation and corporate fundraising

Qualifications

BA (required), MA (a plus)

Experience in sales or fundraisin.

Demonstrated excellence in organizational, managerial, and communication skills.
