Sully
Sully would love a forever hospice foster. Sully has permanent kidney damage due to Valley Fever. And while young, full of life and love, Sully only has a 1-2 year life expectancy. Will you share your home and love with Sully during his remaining time?

Do you have room in your heart and home for a dog or cat that is waiting to find it's forever home? We are looking for long-term fosters for animals with medical and/or behavioral issues that would do better in a home environment as opposed to living in the shelter. You would care for the animal in your home until cleared for adoption. Once adoptable, you'd be required to attend and/or bring your foster to adoption events until adopted.

What Pima Paws For Life provides: veterinary care, crate and accessories (collar/leash or harness) if needed, food if needed, and advice or suggestions as needed.

What you, the Foster Parent provides: a home environment, food, observations, time and love.

What the animal provides: unending love and gratitude.

You will need to fill out a Foster Caregiver application and once approved and an animal is chosen to be placed with you, a Foster Contract will need to be signed.

Mission Statement

To partner with our community in creating a no-kill Pima County. To find loving homes for every treatable and adoptable animal in our care. To collaborate with other local animal welfare agencies to broaden the safety net for homeless animals in our community.

Description

Pima Paws For Life (PPFL), is a 501c3 private adoption guarantee (no kill) animal shelter in Tucson, AZ. PPFL takes in sick and injured animals, with a focus on pulling from Pima Animal Care Center along with PACC shelter diversions and a few rural shelters, to help reduce the euthanasia rate of dogs and cats with treatable conditions. PPFL treats animals with upper respiratory infections (URI's) also known as kennel cough, valley fever, pneumonia, distemper, parvo, injuries, and behavioral issues as well as many other problems. Once healthy and cleared by the vet, the animals then become available for adoption.

By partnering with the citizens of our community and other local shelters and rescue groups, Pima Paws For Life is dedicated to building a No Kill Pima County- a community where pets are no longer destroyed just because they are homeless. Pima Paws For Life believes that every animal's life has value- every life matters.

We cannot make this a reality for the shelter pets of Pima County without the support of our generous and compassionate community.
