The Hunger Task Force is looking for volunteers to walk in the St. Patrick's Parade on Saturday, March 12th. Walkers will push shopping carts and collect donations during the parade and load the truck after the parade. This is short parade only 10 block! This is a really fun event and a great way to help the hungry in the Coulee Region!
Volunteers will meet by the truck in the parking lot at the corner of 2nd and Vine Street at 11:30 am. Wear your green!

The Mission of the Hunger Task Force of La Crosse, Inc. is to eliminate hunger by harvesting community resources and being the voice of the hungry.
Description
The Hunger Task Force of La Crosse has two programs The Food Recovery Program and The Kane Street Community Garden.
The Food Recovery Programs collects nutritious food that would other end up in landfills and distributes it to 70 hunger programs in La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, and Vernon Counties. These hunger programs include food pantries, meal sites, and youth programs.
The Kane Street Community Garden was created to help ensure free nutritious produce was available to everyone. The Garden grows 30,000 pounds of produce each year on 2 city blocks. Produce is distributed free of charge to the public.
