Carnegie Science Center Snowball Day crew
Join our team and be a part of special events at the Science Center as well as assisting visitor's in our exhibit galleries or SportsWorks, presenting shows in our demonstration theaters, reaching for the stars in the Buhl Planetarium, or taking care of our living exhibits in the Animal Habitat area.

Interact with visitors, help them experience our exhibits and have fun learning science while working on the exhibit floors, including roboworld (tm), Exploration Station, and Sportsworks. There are over 100 hands-on activities for kids and adults. Help pique imaginations at the water table, play robot hockey, introduce visitors to our animal ambassadors, and much more. You'll be required to complete 100 hours of service from September-May.

The deadline to apply is August 1, 2016. All teens must submit a Teen Volunteer Application packet and Reference Form before they will be considered for a position. To apply, and for more info, download a Teen Volunteer Application packet found here:

Recipient of the 2003 National Award for Museum Service, Carnegie Science Center inspires and entertains by connecting science and technology with everyday life. In addition to providing valuable scientific experiences, Carnegie Science Center engages in outreach programs that serve Pittsburgh's diverse community. The Science Center is located on Pittsburgh's North Shore along the banks of the Ohio River and is accessible to persons with disabilities.
