If you have a couple extra hours and would love to help out some really cute critters...
Izzie's Pond is looking for volunteers who can come to our new facility in Liberty for a couple hours in the morning to feed and water our animals, also cleaning as needed. You will need mud boots, gloves, and clothes you don't mind getting dirty. Lifting required, must be able to carry 5 gallon bucket or bales of hay. Must be 18 years of age and have own transportation.
Animals that you will be working with include ducks, geese, swans, chickens, turkeys, pigeons, goats, donkeys, and during certain times of year, various wildlife such as squirrels and opossum.
You will train with other volunteers, and must be willing to commit to once a week, or as a back up for when other volunteers cannot make it.

The mission of Izzie’s Pond is to provide rescue, rehabilitation and refuge for sick, injured, or orphaned waterfowl, wildlife, and farm animals and also to increase public awareness and appreciation for animals.
Since the beginning of Izzie’s Pond, we have taken in hundreds of animals. Wild animals are rehabbed and released back to the wild, and domestic animals are rehabbed and adopted out to approved homes.
We also participate in events to help educate the public.
