ORGANIZATION: Building Skills Partnership

Lead a group of 15 to 20 low-wage immigrant workers in a group exercise. We welcome different types of exercises: aerobics, dance, yoga, etc. The activity will be part of a health class to encourage a healthy lifestyle.

At least 1-hour commitment per week. Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred. We are looking for a volunteer between the hours of 9am - 11am. When responding to this posting, please state the type of exercise you plan to lead and the hours/ days available.

Our Organization: The Building Skills Partnership (BSP) is a statewide non-profit collaboration between the Californian janitors' union (SEIU-USWW), community leaders, and responsible businesses to build a strong future for building service workers, their families, and communities by advancing skills, opportunities, and self-sufficiency.

Building Skills Partnership programs improve the quality of life of property service workers in low-wage industries, as well as their families and communities, by increasing their access to education, leadership, and career advancement.

Description

The Building Skills Partnership (BSP) represents a unique non-profit collaboration between the property service workers’ union Service Employees International Union - United Service Workers West (SEIU- USWW), commercial building owners, property service employers, client companies and community leaders. BSP offers comprehensive programs tailored to the diverse needs of the community. Our core strategies leverage workforce development, immigrant integration, and community advancement. We have seven offices across the state of California from Sacramento to San Diego. Building Skills Partnership program areas and its curriculum play a key role in driving the productivity and competitiveness of the industry and contributing to the economic and social development of our communities throughout the state.
