Assist Woodworking classes during Extended Learning Time at public K-8 and Middle Schools in Dorchester, Roslindale, or Mattapan. The curriculum is developed to mesh with particular school needs (literacy, math, etc.). This position is for people who want to gain experience in urban public schools providing hands-on experiences to high need students. Commitment is twice a week either Mondays/Wednesdays or Tuesdays/Thursdays for a semester or the entire school year.
Qualifications: Some woodworking skills and interest in developing woodworking skills. Experience working with school aged children. Reliability. Good communication skills. Ability to travel to various Boston locations.

Description
The Eliot School offers classes and workshops for all ages in woodworking, sewing, painting, drawing and related crafts and fine arts. Our affordable classes take place in a comfortable setting throughout the year.
