The Greenpeace research team is responsible for strategic and tactical research to support Greenpeace campaigns and activities, including the global warming, forests, toxics, oceans and other campaigns. The team collects and analyzes data for reports, performs market research, interprets scientific information, analyzes regulations and policies, serves as an industry and government watchdog, and provides expertise on a number of topics.

The research team is looking for an intern that is interested in sharpening their research and writing skills, while learning about many different environmental issues.

Responsibilities:

The intern will be expected to move between issues and campaign disciplines, managing multiple projects simultaneously. S/he will provide assistance to the research team on a number of investigations, analyze science and/or corporate reports, and compile and summarize information to be presented to campaign or field staff. The intern may also be asked to help manage information on websites, write blogs, and/or create maps or diagrams for investigations.

Qualifications:

Study or bachelors degree in environmental science, policy or legal discipline. Graduate study is preferred, but not required. Experience in scientific, policy or markets research highly desired. Demonstrated interest in environmental advocacy and non-violent direct action.
