The Data Analyst Intern will work with the Decision Support Analyst to help evaluate and improve Greenpeace’s member recruitment and retention efforts. The Intern will collaborate mainly with the fundraising and online departments and will work on a wide range of problems. This role will bring analytical rigor and statistical analysis to challenges such as measuring an email and/or online campaign’s quality, optimizing donor retention and revenue, optimizing channels of membership growth, and building models of donor behavior.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop a deep understanding of the goals of teams/departments being supported
Write complex queries for pulling membership data out of all three data systems
Investigate Greenpeace’s past membership data to help paint a fuller picture of successes and failures.
Find patterns and trends in large datasets to identify best practices and aid program managers in decision-making
REQUIREMENTS:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a technical field
Experience working with and analyzing data
Experience with statistical software preferred (STATA, SPSS, R)
A self starter who can work independently
Naturally curious
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
