The Campaigns Intern provides administrative support to the campaigns department in all aspects of operations and team management. The Campaigns Intern will be expected to support several campaigns as needed.
Responsibilities:
- General administrative support
- Campaign Research
- Editing reports and factsheets
- Taking notes during weekly campaign meetings and writing meeting reports
- Assisting with communications with campaign team leaders and other departments
- Writing items on behalf of the Campaigns department for internal newsletters
- Assisting with organizational skills trainings and other various projects
- Assisting with events or activities in the field
- Other duties as apparent or assigned
Skills You May Learn or Practice:
- Writing for campaigns
- Organizing meetings
- Writing meeting agendas
- Organizing events
Qualifications:
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
- Strong online research skills
- Ability to work well independently
- Commitment to non-violence as a means of affecting change
- Enthusiasm for protecting the environment
- Must be open to working with multiple campaigns and departments as needed: Nukes, Toxics, Global Warming, Oceans, Forests, Grassroots, and Actions.
