ORGANIZATION: Greenpeace USA

This internship is available in both Washington, DC AND San Francisco, CA.

The Online Team focuses on online/offline mobilization, activist development through the Activist Network, and social networking strategy and communication integration. The team's goal is to expand the reach of the organization and its campaigns online and have that engagement lead to real world actions that help us win our campaigns.

Responsibilities:

  • Research
  • Administrative assistance
  • Communication with Campaigns department for detailed upkeep of information on website
  • Help train staff on using online tools for reaching campaign goals
  • Edit blog posts

Qualifications:

  • Ability to work independently and prioritize workload
  • Ability to multi-task along
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Interest in working with online technologies
  • Experience blogging, using Twitter and Facebook
  • Some knowledge with PhotoShop and HTML preferred
  • Enjoys helping others
  • Enthusiasm for protecting the environment and belief in non-violent direct action as a means of affecting change
