If you enjoy buiding with LEGOs and solving puzzles with kids this opportunity is for you! Groups of 4th-8th grade girls will spend the afternoon at BadgerBOTS learning the basics of building and programming LEGO robots. BadgerBOTS staff will lead everyone through the activities but volunteers are needed to work one-on-one with teams to encourage and help them to problem solve. Volunteer orientation will occur at noon before the event participants arrive.

Description
BadgerBOTS Robotics is a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization and participates in FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) local, state and worldwide competitions. BadgerBOTS also provides the community with youth education opportunities in the form of camps and afterschool programs.
BadgerBOTS Robotics serves Dane County public, private, virtual or home schooled students in 2nd-12th grade. Since its inception in 2004, BadgerBOTS Robotics has helped approximately 3,000 students discover the fun in science and technology and we are committed to introducing the next generation of engineers, scientists, programmers, technicians, policy makers and project managers to the excitement and challenge of STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) careers.
