Tutor/Mentor in Adult ESOL (English) Classes - Mornings

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: Holyoke Tutor/Mentor Program

  • 6 people are interested

Do you have one morning a week to help and adult learn English?

Tutors volunteer at least once a week in classes for adults seeking to learn English (ESOL). Tutors assist in the classroom by working one-to-one, in small groups, or float among the class helping students as needed.

Tutoring provides valuable individual attention, and a second source of help and support to students, and allow a teacher to more effectively meet the needs of a diverse class.

Classes meet weekday mornings (evenings also available!) at locations in Holyoke. We will match you with a class to fit both your schedule and interests.

No experience as a teacher/tutor required, or knowledge of another language - just a willingness to learn, and the ability to relate and communicate well with people. We will provide training to help you succeed.
