Set Up Day BEFORE Festival: It takes a lot of hands to get a festival running. Come ready to get your body toned with booth set up, stage set up and banner/sign hanging. The more hands involved the smaller the job!

Exhibitor Check-In & Set-up: You will be the first smiling face of the day for the exhibitors. Check them in, give them directions and send them on their way with a gift bag. Alleviate the initial stress of the exhibitors by helping them find their booths, unload their products and set up.

Set Up Day-of Festival: Day-of set up volunteers will be helping with last minute preparations: hanging sponsor banners, running small errands and setting up the SLUG booth and CLC info Booth.

Craft Lake City Info Booth & Table: Inform patrons the details of the 6th annual Craft Lake City. Hand out event booklets, help the lost find artist booth/tables, food vendors or nearest exit. You may also be asked to assist as an Exhibitor Stand-In.

Exhibitor Stand-in: It’s a long day for an exhibitor, you will be helping them watch their booth while they run to the restroom or grab some food. Volunteers will not be selling merchandise, just watching the merchandise for 5-10 minutes.

Entrances: Welcome festival attendees. Hand out brochures as event-goers enter the festival. Direct and inform people who need assistance.

STEAM Building Volunteer: Welcome festival attendees to CLC’s Science and Technology building featuring the DIY Engineers. Provide hands on assistance with our Science and Technology activities. Give directions to exhibitors and the public, as needed.

STEAM Building Ushers: You will roam the festival grounds promoting the Science & Tech Building to festival attendees in your assigned zone.

Table/Chair Checkout: Check out tables and chairs to exhibitors during load in.

Children’s Area Day-of Festival: Do you love kids? The children’s area will be set up with hands-on activities to help kids get crafty. This is not a baby-sitting position. Activities will be intended for parents and children as a family friendly break from booth to booth exploring.

Surveyors: Survey Administrators interact with festival attendees to acquire relevant data to complete our impact analysis. During the festival, guests will be approached to participate in brief, two- to five-minute surveys regarding spending and overall experience. This data will allow us to better understand and expand our impact on the Salt Lake community. Due to the active nature of this position, Survey Administrator shifts are two hours long. Volunteers may sign up for multiple shifts.

Flex Team: You will rotate through various festival roles as need be.

Tear Down Day-of Festival: Be part of one of the most important volunteer positions of the festival! After all the wonderful festivities have come to an end, the tear down should be the quickest project of the day. Help artists tear down, clear the booths and leave the Gallivan Center as beautiful as it was before.
