Be Part of the Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles Team

Uhuru Furniture & Collectibles is looking for volunteers that can help us move, measure, clean and occassionally repair furniture.

We are a local, non-profit furniture and collectibles store and we receive two truck loads of donated furniture every day. Volunteers are needed to help arrange furniture and make it look its best.

- Training is provided, experience is not required but is a plus

- Complete service hours

- Learn new skills, build your resume

- Meet new people, work in a friendly and welcoming environment

- Have fun and support self-reliance programs in the African community

Description

Uhuru Furniture and Collectibles is a non-profit store that is a fundraiser for black community empowerment programs of APEDF. We receive a truck load of donated furniture and household items every day. This is a lively, popular Grand Lake area store staffed mostly by volunteers. When you volunteer at Uhuru Furniture, you not only contribute to the success of the store, you become part of a larger movement for peace through social justice. People shop at Uhuru Furniture for low priced, top quality items and to support crucial programs for social justice for African people.
