Help Northern Nevada HOPES in fighting HIV and help your friends and family discover great food. Become a Dining Out For Life Volunteer Ambassador! On April 30, HOPES holds Dining Out For Life where participating restaurants will donate part of their process to HOPES to help those in our community living with HIV. Volunteer Ambassadors each pick a restaurant and help promote their location to their friends, family, coworkers and any other hungry people they know. Ambassadors pick a shift for breakfast (8 a.m. to 11 a.m.) lunch (11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) or dinner (5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.) to represent HOPES. Volunteer Ambassadors help by: Greeting diners and giving a brief explanation of Dining Out For LifeHanding out raffle cards and donation envelopesThanking diners for supporting Dining Out For LifeCollecting donation envelopes. We train each volunteer to help them confidently and comfortably represent HOPES at each location, ensuring a fun and fulfilling experience for all our Ambassadors. Description
Northern Nevada HOPES is a nonprofit community health center located in downtown Reno, Nevada that provides integrated medical care and wellness services to individuals with and without health insurance. Founded in 1997, HOPES began as a comprehensive HIV care center and in 2012 expanded into a primary medical care center. HOPES provides services on a sliding fee scale and offers primary care, chronic disease management, behavioral health counseling, case management, nutrition counseling, an on-site pharmacy, transportation, HIV and hepatitis C testing, and community outreach and education. HOPES’ welcoming and innovative one-stop-shop healthcare model improves access to care for thousands of individuals and families in our community.
