Under the direction of the membership director, the Facilities/Housekeeping volunteer, assist in providing a clean, comfortable and orderly environment for members and employees. This volunteer will follow required procedures for disposing of waste and clean up of body fluids in accordance with OSHA standards. Assist with maintaining the facility, grounds and gardens.
Essential Functions:
- Assist in maintaining facility in a clean and sanitary condition
- Operate various mechanized cleaning equipment, such as vacuums, etc. (Not applicable to Deloitte Volunteers)
- Shoveling and sweeping.
- Report any necessary repairs immediately to Y managers.
- Assist in building maintenance and repairs.
- Assist in the landscaping and gardening needs including new plantings and ongoing maintenance.
- Assess branch needs and make recommendations to managers.
- Assist in duties as requested by department management.

**All Volunteers MUST have a background check before they are allowed to work around children. The Raritan Bay Area YMCA offers Background Checks at no cost to the volunteer. Results must be received before volunteer service on site is allowed.
