Attend a free Weed Management at the grounds of Lakewold Gardens, presented by Mark Lyke, Lakewold's horticulture manager. Mark will help us to understand the significance of the life cycle and growth patterns of weeds in the Pacific Northwest. What methods can minimize how they affect the garden? In understanding prevention, what role does biological, cultural, mechanical and herbicidal control play in how we manage weeds?

After Mark's presentation he and the garden staff will work with workshop partipants for 2 hours in the field. You will be provided with a mentor as you practice, hands on, what you learned in the workshop. To sign up, contact Katrina, volunteer manager, at kredding@lakewoldgardens.org or 253-584-4106 ext. 106.
