Trick-or-Treat at Troy Historic Village
This past Halloween, we saw over 1,000 visitors at our Alice in Wonderland trick-or-treat event!

Are you creative, organized and work well supervising other volunteers? Use your skills to help our Programming Directors plan and carry out special events at the Troy Historic Village, including our annual Trick-or-Treat and Christmas programs. You’ll work with a small team of volunteers to coordinate decorations, refreshments, crafts and entertainment. You might also help us with event set-up and provide direction for volunteers during the events.

Mission Statement

We learn from the past to understand the present and build a better future.

Description

The Troy Historical Society is a nonprofit organization with more than 40 years of success in preserving and presenting the history of our region. On July 1, 2011 the Troy Historical Society assumed responsibility for operation of the Troy Historic Village, where history lives. The Troy Historic Village includes ten historic buildings, surrounding a village green that is enhanced by gardens and mature trees. A tent and gazebo on the green provide areas for outdoor concerts, storytelling and reading aloud. There is ample space for picnics and traditional activities and games. Our historic buildings host concerts, lectures, discussions and meetings, as well as exhibits of arts and artifacts.

The Troy Historic Village is a destination for students, children, families and adults who live in or visit southeast Michigan.
