PLACEMENT PURPOSE
Become trained to become a Disaster Action Team (DAT) Trainee or a Disaster Action Team Dispatcher. Once trained you will respond to local disasters, most often house or apartment fires. DAT Trainees will respond to local disasters providing immediate on-scene response to local and large-scale disasters with an expereinced DAT Member. Dispatcher's provide off-site support to DAT members during local responses with the goal of mobilizng a team of volunteers to resond within 2 hours and maintaining positive rapport and open lines of communicatiosn with fellow DAT members.

REQUIRED TRAINING⦆DAT Trainees- Approximately 6 hours of online and in-person training.⦆ Trainees will need a minimum of 3 DAT responese before they are moved up to a DAT Responder.
