UUMC will partner with Irvine Presbyterian Church to assist in providing education, outreach and evangelism opportunities for children and their families in Tijuana and El Niño, and to empower the children to change their lives through education.

This event will take place in El Niño, Mexico as we seek to help an area previously effected by the El Niño storms. On the El Niño Scholarship Photo Day, we gather information for biography sheets on students needing sponsorship. Transportation will be available with prior notice.

We'll need help the following:

• Measuring children’s feet for shoes
• Taking photos for the bio sheets
• Translating
• Updating student information
• Building relationships

No experience is needed. All are welcome - you do not have to be a sponsor.

Please bring:

• Water, sack lunch & snacks for car
• Camera if you’re a photographer
• Drivers - Mexico insurance
• Non-Drivers - $15 to give to drivers to cover gas and insurance
• PASSPORT (birth certificate OK for children under age 19 since we’re with a church group)
• Patience and a big smile!
• Optional: bring items for entertaining children - balls, jump ropes, kites, face paint, fingernail polish, etc.
