Mission Statement
Volunteers for Wildlife is a non-profit wildlife hospital and education center founded in 1982. We are dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of Long Island's injured and orphaned wildlife. We educate the public about preservation of wildlife and natural habitats through our many fascinating programs for children and adults.
Description
Volunteers for Wildlife, cares for over 1,000 sick, injured, and orphaned wild animals each year, with the goal of giving every animal a second chance at life back in the wild. Our hosptial is fully staffed by licensed wildlife rehabilitators and supported by the work of veterarians and dedicated volunteers.
