Volunteer with the Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk.
Organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, the Out of the Darkness Overnight Walk is coming to Dallas, TX on April 25 th, 2015. Thousands of participants will take to the streets of Dallas to be a part of the incredible 16-18 mile journey, to assist AFSP with continuing its' mission to fund crucial research, offer educational programs, and provide programs and resourcesthat will benefit those affected by mental disorders and suicide.
We would like to invite you to join the hundreds of passionate and hardworking individuals coming together as a Volunteer community to create this powerful experience.
Volunteer opportunities:
- Check-in walk participants
- Set up Opening and Closing ceremonies
- Distribute water to walkers
- Photograph throughout the event
- Serve breakfast to walkers after they cross the finish line
- And more!
When: April 25-26 th 2015 - Volunteer shifts will vary in length and start time. Volunteer registration will begin during March, but by filling out our Volunteer Form, you will receive important updates about volunteering.
We want you to be with the thousands of dedicated participants taking steps to save lives.

Description
Organized by the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP), the Overnight Walk is the premiere fundraising 16-18 mile journey through the night. A courageous community of men and women like you will break the silence and bring the issues of depression and suicide into the light.
Funds raised by the Overnight allow AFSP to further its mission of understanding and preventing suicide through research, education and advocacy, and to reaching out to people with mental disorders and those impacted by suicide.
