Foothill Family Shelter is opening a brand new thrift store, selling clothing, homeware and small furniture items and we need your help to get started! 100% of the proceeds will go to Foothill Family Shelter to sustain programs that aid the homeless and low-income communities in the Inland Empire. Foothill Family Shelter provides basic needs such as clothing and food bags, counseling and coaching services.
We are pushing for one more volunteer day to finish the setup of the store!
We are looking for volunteers to help a couple of hours during March to stock, inventory and merchandise our new store. Volunteers will be working from 11:30 am-5 pm Wednesday, March 25th and then 10am-5pm Thursday, March 26th through Friday, March 27th. We are flexible and asking for any help the community can provide. This type of oppotunity is great for anyone with daytime availablity or just want to take some time off to help Foothill Family Shelter. Interested volunteers should be comfortable and flexible lifting, moving and working in a family enviroment with our products and items.

The mission of Foothill Family Shelter is to assure children and adults a future by helping them acquire skills that will enable them to maintain a home, job and at the same time develop the necessary self-esteem to function as a successful stable adult.
Description
Foothill Family Shelter is a nonprofit organization founded in 1984 which houses homeless adults and children for a period of up to 120 days, free of rent and utility charges. We also provide one-year transitional housing as well as permanent housing.
The Foothill Family Shelter began as St. Mark's Homeless Shelter and currently serves as a transitional facility for homeless adults and children from the west end of San Bernardino County and the east end of Los Angeles County. The Shelter has 7- two bedroom apartments which are fully furnished and offered free for a maximum of 120 days. We also provide 16- two bedroom apartments for transitional housing and 4- two bedroom apartments for affordable permanent housing.
