Dine Out Tucson

Someone is affected by sexual violence every 2.5 minutes. Every 13 seconds a child is abused. By volunteering, you are helping us help those in need.

Serving as a Community Host is easy, fun, and it requires committing only four hours the morning, afternoon, or evening of the event! There are a variety of shifts and restaurants to choose from. When Community Hosts arrive at their assigned restaurants, they are greeted by an agency representative, presented with their "official" Dine Out for Safety gear and given the necessary supplies to assist in selling raffle tickets to restaurant patrons.

About Dine Out for Safety:

Dine Out for Safety is a community outreach and fundraising event for Southern Arizona Center Against Sexual Assault (SACASA), a program of Arizona's Children Association. Dine Out for Safety unites local restaurants, businesses, organizations and individuals in Tucson for a unique and fun community-wide experience. On April 22, 2015 participating restaurants will generously donate up to 20% of their dinner proceeds to support the mission of ending violence in our community.

Volunteering:

Those interested will receive a sign-up to see available shifts and participating restaurant locations in Tucson.

Mission Statement

Protecting Children, Empowering Youth, Strengthening Families.

Description

For more than 100 years, Arizona’s Children Association (AzCA) has stayed true to "Protecting Children, Empowering Youth, Strengthening Families," serving more than 42,000 children, individuals and families in all 15 counties in the state each year. Arizona’s Children Association provides a myriad of programs, across every county in the state, each tailored to the needs of the particular child, individual or family.

Arizona’s Children Association is one of the oldest and largest not-for-profit child welfare and behavioral health agencies in Arizona. We believe that every child deserves a permanent home that is safe and nurturing and we strive toward that goal. All programs are family focused, strength based, culturally sensitive and outcome driven.

Arizona’s Children Association employs more than 600 full-time, part-time, on-call and relief staff and we have more than 800 foster family partners throughout the state who provide safe, loving homes for kids in need. Our key personnel and Board of Directors include experts who bring a variety of skills and resources from across Arizona. They are committed to offering quality programs and services statewide in a fiscally responsible manner.

At AzCA, 90 cents of every dollar is spent on programs and services and we have been recognized by The Business Journal as one of Arizona’s top-ranking charitable organizations.

We also maintain a number of accreditations, state licenses and organization memberships that allow the agency to remain on the leading edge of child welfare and behavioral health issues in Arizona and the country. AzCA is licensed by the Arizona Departments of Behavioral Health and Economic Security and nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation (COA) and Better Business Bureau.
