Are you a savvy marketer? A natural networker? Consider using your time and talents to join the 2015 Walk to End Alzheimer's Volunteer Planning Committee. The Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's is the world's largest event to raise funds for care, support, and research efforts. In 2014 the Portland Walk was named 26th in the nation (out of 645 Walk to End Alzheimer's events) for revenue produced! We are looking for volunteers to join our 2015 planning committee! We have open positions on our team recruitment committee (helping us recruit new team captains for 2015) and marketing and outreach (helping us spread the word about Walk in the community).
We hold monthly meetings the 4th Wednesday of the month from 4pm-5pm at our office on NW Naito Parkway. Interested in joining the committee? Please reach out to Walk Coodinator Kara Busick and come visit us at a meeting!
Alzheimer's disease is currently the 6th leading cause of death in the United States and the only one in the top 10 causes of death with no way to prevent, cure, or slow the progression.
