We are seeking compassionate volunteers that would like to help a nonprofit organization serving young people with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Example volunteer opportunities:
Painting
Episodically paint in the gym with our youth, the Art Association, and our Art Therapist; i.e., canvas, water color, etc...
Christmas
Take a name from our tree and purchase Christmas for our youth
Donate wrapping paper, bows, name tags, tape, ribbon, etc...
Help wrap Christmas gifts and organize appropriately
Provide monetary donations
Spring Musical
Help conceptualize and/or create/find costumes or props for our musical
Help with set-up and clean-up
Promotion of the event
Gardening/Landscaping
Utilize your green thumb and help plant flower gardens, weed them, water them on weekends, etc...
Help clean-up our nature trail by donating or making bird houses, mulching, raking, weeding, etc...
Donate plants, flowers, pots, soil, mulch, stones, rock, etc...
Prom
Create decorations and centerpieces
Help with set-up and clean up
Provide or help find donations; i.e., tables, chairs, linens, photographer, DJ, food, dresses, tuxes, shoes, accessories, etc...
Special Events; i.e., Valentine’s party or dance, St. Patrick’s Day party, Halloween party, etc...

You can choose to "adopt" a home or classroom and purchase items for them; i.e., bed comforters, sensory toys, board games, sheets, pull-ups, books, DVDs, gift cards for outings, clothing, socks, underwear, shoes, therapy balls, etc... We will include a brief overview of each young person’s unique interests and special story
