We are looking for volunteers who want to make a difference in someone's life. There are very few limitations on what qualifies someone to volunteer with us. From visiting patients at home, nursing homes, or assisted living to making calls to our families, sending birthday cards, or helping with clerical duties in our office. We are in desperate need of individuals who are willing to sew memory bears for our bereaved families. These bears are made out of clothing from their loved ones. We also have bereavement opportunities for those individuals who have lost a loved one and would like to visit with some of our families who have already lost their family member. If someone has a special talent, we can use you. Some examples include: cutting/styling hair, sewing, love of yard work, massage therapy, or cooking a hot meal for a patient/family. If you are a student in need of community service hours/intenrship for school, let us help you reach your goal. The opportunities are endless for those interested in becoming a volunteer with us. We will not specify how often or how many hours you give. We allow our volunteers to set their availability and the type of help they are willing to give. All volunteers are given a orientation and also provided with on-going education and training.
