LEARN AND SHARE 5,000 YEARS OF HUMAN HISTORY AT HISTORIC SPANISH POINT. OUR DOCENTS GIVE GUIDED TOURS TO VISITORS OF ALL AGES.
Historic Spanish Point docents provide a special link between the 30-acre historic site and museum visitors. You will learn about Florida's earliest inhabitants, the pioneer Webb family, and fabulous Mrs. Palmer so that you can lead tours through historic buildings and gardens. The natural Florida environment is also a highlight of every tour. Seasonal and year-round opportunities exist.
Can't easily walk a mile or two? We need docents to lead tram tours (8 passenger "golf" cart) or to be on-site interpreters in the historic buildings

Mission Statement
Historic Spanish Point is a 30 acre environmental, archaeological and historic site owned and operated by Gulf Coast Heritage Association, Inc. Our mission is to connect people of today with 5,000 years of human history in southwest coastal Florida by preserving and interpreting objects and traditions significant to our region's past. As a National Register historic site and accredited museum, Historic Spanish Point features nature trails, historic buildings, beautiful gardens and scenic views of Little Sarasota Bay. The museum is open daily.
