Volunteers needed to help students in grades 3-8 with homework, math and reading after school and/or evenings for one hour on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays, 4:00-5:00pm, 4:30-5:30pm or 6:30-7:30pm. Training and background check required. Must be at least 16 years of age. H.O.P.E.'s mission is to empower 2nd-8th graders to reach their full academic potential through free, individualized tutoring.
Description
H.O.P.E. is a community-wide, non-profit organization that partners with local churches, public libraries, and Arlington ISD, which provide facilities for our volunteers to tutor elementary and junior high students during the school year. We also offer virtual tutoring. During the summer, H.O.P.E. offers summer camps focused on math, reading, science, computers and music.
