The American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer walk is a powerful event to raise awareness and funds to end breast cancer. As the largest network of breast cancer events in the nation, the noncompetitive walks unite communities with a shared determination to create a world free from the pain and suffering of breast cancer. Passionate participants raise critical funds enabling the Society to fund innovative breast cancer research; provide free, comprehensive information and support to those touched by breast cancer; and help people reduce their breast cancer risk or find it early when it’s most treatable.

Making Strides Against Breast Cancer of Champaign/Urbana will take place on October 14th at Meadowbrook Park in Urbana. You can always find more information at www.makingstrideswalk.org/champaignil.

Our Making Strides Against Breast Cancer events depend on the passion of volunteers. Share your time so that no one touched by breast cancer has to walk alone. We are currently looking for leaders in the community to help plan this memorable and important fundraiser. Our Event Leadership Team helps to plan the event and entertainment, secure support for the event and promote the event in the local community. We are looking for passionate leaders who want to join in the fight against breast cancer, support the journey of local survivors and advocate for more research funding and support.

If you are looking for an opportunity to make a difference, please reach out to Katie at katie.champion@cancer.org.
