Clean & Green River Clean-up - Fenton Parkway

Save to Favorites

ORGANIZATION: The San Diego River Park Foundation

Clean and Green Team
The River Park Foundation's Clean and Green Team has removed over 1,000,000lbs of trash from the San Diego River. Make a difference for the Environment, join us today!

As part of our ongoing mission to save the San Diego River and its surrounding habitat, volunteers are needed to help remove trash and debris from the riverbed in the Mission Valley area near the Mission Valley Library. The San Diego River is a very important waterway from both an historic and ecological standpoint, home to many rare and endangered plants and animals. Help us to restore our river and nature preserve to provide a clean and healthy habitat for the native plants and wildlife that call the river home.

THIS EVENT IS FAMILY FRIENDLY SO BRING THE WHOLE CREW! No experience necessary, all tools and supplies provided. Community service hours can be verified for those that need them. Participants are asked to wear sturdy clothing that can get a little dirty and also wear closed shoes. Hat and sunscreen are recommended.

For questions and to RSVP please call (619) 297-7380 or email volunteer@sandiegoriver.org.
