Christian Appalachian Project is looking for volunteers and AmeriCorps members who share excitement for our mission of building hope, transforming lives, and sharing Christ's love through service in Appalachia.
Volunteers and AmeriCorps members have the opportunity to serve in a variety of programs in Eastern Kentucky. In addition to a life-changing experience, long-term CAP Volunteers receive a bi-weekly stipend, vacation time, professional development opportunities, potential student loan deferment, and are eligible to receive health insurance, student loan deferment, and an AmeriCorps Education Award (subject to availability).
Service placements are in fields such as Education, Home Repair, Hunger and Poverty Relief, Elderly Services, Volunteer Hospitality, and Disaster Relief.

CAP serves low-income families, particularly children, the elderly and persons with disabilities, in Appalachian Kentucky. Volunteers may serve part-time or full-time in a variety of programs.
